Some of what is on this site will be wrong or out of date. Fares change, monasteries change their closing days, ferry routes move between ports. Reports of specific errors are the single most useful thing a reader can send.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with:
- the page address,
- the sentence or figure that is wrong,
- what it should say, and a source if you have one.
A photograph of a price board, a ticket or a timetable is ideal. So is "the temple closes at 17:00 now, I was there on Tuesday" — first-hand observation is welcome as a report even though the site does not publish it as editorial content.
What happens next
Reports are acknowledged within three working days. A factual error is verified against a source and corrected, or the claim is removed if no source can confirm it. Where a correction changes something a reader might have acted on — a price, a departure point, an opening day — the page's last reviewed date is updated so the change is visible.
Corrections are not made silently where the original claim was materially misleading. Small fixes such as a typo or a broken link are made without a note.
What is not a correction
Disagreement with an editorial judgment — which neighbourhood is the better base, whether a day trip is worth the transit time — is opinion rather than error. Those messages are still read and often change how a page is written, but they are not handled as corrections.
