Explore Attica

Affiliate Disclosure

Explore Attica earns commission on bookings made through the partner widgets and links on this site. You pay the same price as you would going direct; the commission comes from the partner's margin.

This disclosure is a legal requirement under EU consumer law, and it is also the honest answer to the question a reader should be asking about any site that recommends things.

Who the partners are

Booking widgets are served through the Travelpayouts affiliate network, which connects the site to individual programmes:

What you see Partner programme
Transfer booking widget Kiwitaxi, GetTransfer
Tour and activity widget GetYourGuide, WeGoTrip
Hotel search widget Booking.com
Car hire widget DiscoverCars, Localrent
eSIM widget Airalo

Each content page declares which partner it carries in its metadata. Partner names are deliberately kept out of the article text, so that the guidance reads the same whether or not a partner is behind it.

What commission does not influence

  • Ranking and recommendations. Where a page says the metro is the better option, or that a rental car is a liability in central Athens, or that a day trip is not worth the transit time, that is the recommendation regardless of the fact that no commission follows from it. Several pages on this site actively steer readers towards the cheapest non-commissionable option.
  • Which options appear. Public transport, official airport taxis, KTEL coaches and walking are covered on their merits. None of them pay anything.
  • Placement. Widget position is set by a single site-wide rule — one widget per page, immediately after the first comparison table — not by what a partner pays.
  • Editorial content. No partner reviews, approves or sees a page before publication. No partner has paid for coverage, and no page on this site is sponsored.

Partner widgets are booking tools and are visibly what they are. Outbound partner links carry the appropriate link attributes. This page is linked from the footer of every page on the site.

Cookies

Partner widgets set tracking cookies to attribute a booking. These are not strictly necessary cookies, so they load only after you consent. See the cookie policy for what is set, by whom, and how to change your mind.
